Edition of 230 copies, this one of fifty copies on Japon impérial paper (No. 22), including the engravings in 3 states and an original drawing signed by the artist. This copy is enriched by an additional state of the frontispiece, and above all by 5 free plates in 4 states (first state, state in black with remarks, state of decomposition and final proof in colour), with a state of decomposition added to one of these plates, making a total of 21 plates. These 5 free plates are indicated in the colophon as intended to accompany the 30 hors-commerce copies reserved for the artist and his friends. Sober and elegant binding by Mercier, perfectly executed.
