Important collective edition of Luther's works published in Jena, following the first complete edition published in Wittenberg in 1539-1559. A composite copy in which the first five parts were published by Christian Rödinger and then his heirs in 1555-1557, the sixth by Thomas Rebart alone in 1561 and the last two by Rebart and Richtzenhain in 1568. All volumes are bound in contemporary stamped saddle-skin, but the ornamentation varies. A monumental complete set in elegant contemporary Germanic bindings.
