Lyon, Jean-Aymé Ollier, 1687. 2 works in one small volume in-4, red morocco, decoration in the style of Du Seuil, ornate spine, gilt edges (Binding of the period). A very interesting collection of regulations governing the city of Lyon in the seventeenth century. They primarily concern the city's catering trades and food supplies (regulations and prices for grain, bread, meat, wine, etc.), but also the silk trade, city maintenance, street regulations, inns and taverns, etc. Bound in contemporary morocco à la Du Seuil. Bound after the title is the text of the letters patent relating to the Hôpital de l'aumône générale de Lyon issued in February 1684 and, at the end of the volume, a rare booklet on the tariff of bread sold by the bakers of Lyon in 1687. Some rubbing and scuffing, one corner worn, the colour of the morocco partially faded, foxing and small scattered wet spots.
