MAILLARD (Olivier). Passio domini nostri Jesu Christi a reverendo .p. Oliverii Maillard Parisius declamata. [Paris], Jean Petit, s.d. [circa 1515]. In-8 of [16] ff (signed A-B8), supple fawn morocco, double framed with cold fillets (modern binding). Very rare two-column Gothic edition of this sermon on the Passion of Christ, composed by the Franciscan preacher Olivier Maillard (1430-1502). The mark of Jean Petit printed on the title dates it to circa 1515.
Moreau and the USTC list only three copies of this edition in French libraries (it is missing from the BnF), and six others abroad.
Washed copy; discreet marginal repairs to the last two leaves.
