Mounted on support and decoratively framed under glass and in mahogany wood frame. Very rare, currently not traceable for us in international trade, no copy in Worldcat and KVK. - Probably intended for private use, self-published by the now largely unknown 19th century artist. - The scene shows the Gutenberg monument by Bertel Thorvaldsen in Mainz at its inauguration in 1837, which was accompanied by three days of festivities. - Some waviness due to the technique as well as slightly browned due to the paper, partly somewhat stained and with small colour flaking in places.
