Istoriato-Teller auf kurzem Fuß mit leicht hoch gezogener Wandung und rotgoldenem Rand. Im Spiegel links Darstellung von Amor und Venus vor einem Baum mit wulstigem Stamm. Im Zentrum lehnt eine Muse - wohl Erato, die Muse der Liebesdichtung - an einer kurzen Säule, auf die sie locker einen Arm gelegt hat. Sie blickt nach links. Ihr Profil zeichnet sich vor einer zweiten hohen, hellen Säule ab. Im Mittelgrund leitet eine leicht felsige Landzunge hinunter zum Meer. Rechts teils durch einen Baum verdeckt, ist eine befestigte Stadt an der Küste zu sehen. Auffällig ist die Gestaltung des Himmels, in dem mit horizontal geführten Streifen in Weiß und Rot die Abenddämmerung angedeutet wird. Die Bemalung in Blau, Mangan, Ockergelb, Grün, Braun, üppigem Rotlüster, Orange, Rot, Gelb und Schwarz. Die Unterseite mit Arabesken in Lüsterdekor, Datierung und Beschriftung “1530/M Go/da Gubio” und alte Inventarnummer in Rot. Perfekter Zustand, eine winzige Übermalung am oberen Rand. The centre depicts the mythological scene of Cupid and Venus in front of a tree with a wide trunk. Centrally, a muse, probably Erato (the muse of love poetry) leans against a short column onto which she has laid one arm. She looks to the left and her profile is set against two tall, light columns. A rocky headland leads downhill towards the sea in the middle ground. On the right, partially hidden by a tree, lies a fortified city on the shore. The sky is painted with bold horizontal stripes of white and red to indicate dusk. Painted in blue, manganese, ochre, green, brown, luxuriant red lustre, orange, red, yellow and black. On the reverse painted with arabesques in lustre, dated and inscribed '1530/M Go/da Gubio' and an old inventory number in red. Overpainting on the rim.
