Ex libris Deschamps de Pas. Rare collection of the three volumes printed in Tournai between 1639 and 1654. The Jesuit Father Joseph Malbrancq, who was born in Saint Omer in 1580 and died in Tournai in 1653, was unable to complete his great work on the history of the Morins and Morinie. The third volume was published after his death in 1654. The printed version stops at 1313, but the author continued the history in 129 chapters until 1553, the year in which Thérouanne, the capital of the Morins region, was destroyed by Charles V. This manuscript suite was still kept in 1737 by the Jesuits in Lille. A copy in a homogeneous binding, complete with the 2 maps of Morinie which are missing from almost all copies, 3 plates are missing. (The boards of the binding of volume 2 were previously rebound).
