MAN RAY (Emmanuel Radnitsky, known as - 1890-1976). Rayographies. Circa 1920-30. Set of four later silver prints. On the verso of a first print, stamped "Man Ray Paris". On the verso of another print, handwritten annotations in pencil: "Rayographie man Ray 1922-8 (pour l'Edition de tête - Galerie des 4 Mouvements)". Approximate sizes: 24.5 x 18.5 cm, 25.5 x 19.3 cm, 19.9 x 15.3 cm and 19.7 x 14.3 cm. Two prints, from the collection of Juliet Man Ray, were produced for the exhibition at the Galerie des 4 mouvements in Paris from 25 February to 25 March 1972. This exhibition featured rayographies by the artist, and the prints we are presenting here were intended for the exhibition catalogue, as can be seen on the reverse of one of them; the other was used as a poster for the exhibition.
