Manfred Bockelmann (born 1943 Klagenfurt. Resident in Carinthia) Triptych "Landscape"/"Revelation to Silence". Original title Two-dimensional, stylised, meditative landscape composition, the intention of which fits in perfectly with the text on the reverse of the middle picture: "Lao Tse (/) 'The great revelation is silence' ". Bockelmann, a younger brother of the famous singer and composer Udo Jürgens, studied fresco painting, graphic art and photography in Graz from 1962 to 1966 and then worked as a successful photographer in Munich. In 1971, he met Friedensreich Hundertwasser, with whom he published a successful illustrated book after a voyage together, followed by books on Rudolf Hausner and "Magic Hollywood". From 1974 onwards, Bockelmann concentrated increasingly on his "painting of stillness", with landscape becoming his central theme. Oil on canvas; each signed lower right with ligature monogram, inscribed A-C and dated 1979, also signed, titled and dated on verso. 1979, on "Bild 2" additionally with text "Lao Tse (/) Die große Offenbarung ist die Stille". Overall dimensions 180 cm x 310 cm. Frames in each case. Triptych "Landscape". Oil on canvas. Each painting signed, tiltled and dated 1979.
