Manfred Bockelmann (born 1943 Klagenfurt. Resident in Carinthia) Triptych "Landscape"/"Revelation to Silence". Original title Two-dimensional, stylised, meditative landscape composition, the intention of which fits in perfectly with the text on the reverse of the middle picture: "Lao Tse (/) 'The great revelation is silence' ". Bockelmann, a younger brother of the famous singer and composer Udo Jürgens, studied fresco painting, graphic art and photography in Graz from 1962 to 1966 and then worked as a successful photographer in Munich. In 1971, he met Friedensreich Hundertwasser, with whom he published a successful illustrated book after a voyage together, followed by books on Rudolf Hausner and "Magic Hollywood". From 1974 onwards, Bockelmann concentrated increasingly on his "painting of stillness", with landscape becoming his central theme.
