Urn-shaped case adorned with laurel and bows, with an applied figure of Eros with quiver and bow, carried by two graces, on a retracted base with a central medallion and foliage on both sides, on round feet with acanthus leaves. Enamel dial with Arabic hours and minutes. Open-work gilt bronze hands. Parisian movement with half-hour strike (pendulum and bell missing). The movement stamped Japy Frères & C. Expt 1855 Med d'honn and numbered 44. Freestanding. 36 × 19 × 82.5 cm. The movement needs to be checked. Charpentier & Cie, later also known as Lemerle Charpentier, was a clockmaker company operating in Paris until 1890. The company Japy Frères & Cie, operating in Beaucourt, became known, among other things, for manufacturing clock blanks on a large scale and as a factory from 1810. Emaille-Zifferblatt mit arabischen Stunden und Minuten. Durchbrochene, vergoldete Bronzezeiger. Pariserwerk mit Halbstundenschlag (Pendel und Glocke fehlen). Das Werk mit Stempel Japy Frères & C.
