MANUFACTURE JULES VIEILLARD - BORDEAUX Part of a service known as "Aux Grands Oiseaux", designed by Eugène Millet, in fine white enamelled earthenware with polychrome decoration of gallinaceous birds, palmipeds or waders on a plant, aquatic or floral background, comprising : 12 dinner plates : Diam. 25 cm 4 dessert plates: Diam. 22 cm 1 oval platter: 27.5 x 33.5 cm 1 compotier: 12 x 22 cm One plate with an accident at the edge. Japanese stamp "JVB" in a rectangular cartouche on the back of some plates or initials of Jules Vieillard. (Chips and restorations) A partial 'Aux Grands Oiseaux' set in thin enamelled earthenware, comprising 18 pieces. Stamped (Chips and restorations). Plates: Diam. 9 7/8 in., dessert plates: Diam. 8 5/8 in., oval platter: 10 7/8 x 13 1/4 in., compote dish: 4 3/4 x 8 5/8 in.
