It is devoted entirely to sundials (descriptions, constructions and uses), and comprises 31 pages of drawings and diagrams. At the bottom of the last page, a note informs us that this manuscript was produced in Rome in 1760 "For the use of Mgr Paul Marie de Fonsèque de Surgères, Protonotaire Apost[lique], member of several European Academies". Repairs and reinforcement to the binding. Ink has perforated the paper in places, notably in several drawings.
