MARBLE PORTRAIT MEDALLION OF A YOUNG LADY
Roman, Imperial period, 3rd century AD.
Marble in relief. Fragment of the centerpiece of a sarcophagus. In a tondo, a carved bust portrait of a noble lady between the engraved inscription OLYM-PI(A?). On a later stone base.
Ø 33 cm, H with base 44.5 cm.
Repaired break. Chips. Scratches.
