Signed Bascoulard mulet and dated 27 September 35 lower right. 39 x 27.5 cm (tears) In a letter dated 19 August 1935, Bascoulard told his correspondent that he was "thinking of going to Châteauroux soon, in a week's time. I will take some photographs of locomotives...". Let's not forget that he travels by tricycle. That must have been when he made this sketch.
