She asks her "good Kauffmann" to be kind enough to welcome this "excellent compatriot Mr Elshoect (Carle) who will bring you a Rhône without anger and a dreamy Saône, to populate your beautiful monument of the hospital in Lyon". She was delighted to learn that her friends in Lyon were going to become Elschoect's friends: "If he wasn't famous for his statue of Eloa, he would be famous for his beautiful Angels of Notre Dame de Lorette and his Charlotte Corday, another exterminating angel whose courage and figure he has made truly divine". She was delighted to have them meet, and passed on "the affection of my children who have grown up like you"...
