ESTIMATE °€ 500 - € 800 STARTING PRICE € 500 Austrian painter of the 20th century. Representative of the forgotten generation of women artists and expressive realism. From 1904 training at the Art School for Women and Girls in Vienna with Maximilian Kurzweil and Ludwig Michalek. Member of the etching club of Viennese women artists, participation in numerous exhibitions. Later private painting lessons with Robin Christian Andersen and Egge Sturm-Skrla. Andersen and Sturm-Skrla kept close contact with Anton Faistauer, Andersen was a member of the Neukunstgruppe around Egon Schiele and Sturm-Skrla was in the Hagenbund. She exhibited at the Künstlerhaus, Vienna Secession and the New Hagenbund. Stylistic development from Art Nouveau to Colour Expressionism. Created landscapes and still lifes, also figure paintings and female nudes.
