Capet began her career at the Youth Exhibition in 1781, which was held in the open air on the mornings of the Fête-Dieu, Place Dauphine and Pont-Neuf, and exhibited there until 1785. In 1784, she painted her self-portrait in oils. In 1791, she was one of twenty-one women artists who took part in the Salon du Louvre for the first time. During the Revolution, she continued to exhibit at the Salon with her friend Labille-Guiard. From 1800 to 1814, she made a name for herself by sending numerous paintings and miniatures to the Salon. She was particularly prolific and prolific in the field of miniatures, using this technique to paint the portraits of Labille-Guiard and Vincent. Julie Madeleine Sophie Frégot (1772-1851) married the French consul Jean Baptiste Thomas Dannery (1744-1806). She followed her husband wherever he went, visiting Malaga, Boston and Lisbon. Her marriage to Jean Baptiste Thomas Dannery resulted in the birth of Jean Germain Samuel, Consul General in Boston. On the death of her husband, Baroness Dannery was appointed governess to the princesses of Spain and then superintendent of the Legion of Honour's House of Education in Saint-Denis.
