Suzanne Moreau-Laurencin became the adopted daughter of Marie Laurencin in 1925.
After Suzanne Moreau-Laurencin's death, her manuscripts and personal archives were deposited with the Jacques Doucet library, of which she was a member. The collection was acquired at auction the following year by the industrialist Masahiro Takano and then assembled in 1983 at the Musée Marie-Laurencin in Tokyo. Marie-Laurencin thus acquired a special posthumous reputation among the Japanese.
