It is illustrated with numerous diagrams in the text and four fold-out tables. L.-N. Chopart (1806-1895), a naval lieutenant and polytechnician, was driven by the desire to disseminate to all naval officers the knowledge inherent in fleet manoeuvres. Autograph signed letter from the author. Spine faded and a little rubbed, a few discreet freckles.
