Width 80 cm. Mario Rodolfo CARRARA was born on 5 November 1926 in Nembro, province of Bergamo, Italy. From 1943 he studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. He moved to Paris in 1948, leaving in 1999 for Bordeaux. From the end of the 60s until the 90s, he took part in collective exhibitions, before exhibiting individually from the 2000s onwards. His paintings, figurative then abstract from the 70s onwards, then one or the other, evoke in particular the Art Premiers, the Italian Primitives, and the precursors of abstraction in the expression of a meditative quest for the origins of art.
