The first volume is entirely devoted to Cyprus; it contains one of the best descriptions of the island at the time; one chapter deals with the wine of Cyprus (cultivation, different ways of making it, trade, conservation). The second volume contains an account of a journey to Syria and Palestine. This edition is quite rare: Blackmer and Atabey only had the pirate edition published the same year by Neuwied. A fine copy.
