First French edition, expanded with information on the wine of Cyprus taken from a monograph that the author had published independently on the subject. The first volume is devoted entirely to Cyprus and contains one of the best descriptions of the island in his time. The second volume contains an account of a journey to Syria and Palestine. This edition is unusual: Atabey and Blackmer only had the pirate edition published the same year in Neuwied.
