Marius Hammer, an emblematic figure in Norwegian silversmithing, left his mark on the late 19th and early 20th centuries with his refined creations, combining Scandinavian tradition with Art Nouveau influences. His work is distinguished by a distinctive style, marked by the use of plique-à-jour enamel, a translucent technique reminiscent of stained glass, giving his pieces a vibrant play of light. Her work is renowned for its motifs inspired by Viking art and naturalistic forms. Gilded silver, delicate filigree and brightly coloured enamel palettes (cobalt blue, emerald green, ruby red) define the timeless elegance of her creations.
