XXIV, S. 117) Boetticher, Malerwerke des Neuzehnten Jahrhunderts, verzeichnet ein solches Gemälde nicht, wenngleich er immerhin 56 Werke aufgelistet hat. Auch in der Ausstellung der Ungarischen Nationalgalerie 1991, anlässlich seines 200. Geburtstages, wird ein Werk "Abraham bewirtet die Engel" nicht aufgeführt. Es ist anzunehmen, dass Markó mehrere Gemälde des gleichen Themas angefertigt hat. Mit der Professur von Károly Markó (1840) an der Accademia di Belle Arti in Florenz zieht sich Markó schließlich 1847 nach Antella bei Florenz zurück, wo er in der Villa Appeggi bis zu seinem Tode 1860 lebt und arbeitet. Die meisten seiner Werke aus dieser Schaffenszeit sind auch so bezeichnet - p. App. (für Appeggi) - und datiert. Nor is the work "Abraham feasts the Angels" listed in the exhibition of the Hungarian National Gallery in 1991 in celebration of its 200th anniversary. There is good reason to believe that Markó made several paintings of the same subject. After receiving the professorship at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence in 1840 Károly Markó finally retracts to Antella near Florence in 1847, where he lives and works in Villa Appeggi until his death in 1860. Most of his works from this productive period are also dated and denoted accordingly - p. App. (for Appeggi).
