He is one of the most influential guitarists in the history of rock and blues music. Clapton was a member of several iconic bands, including The Yardbirds, Cream and Derek and the Dominos, before pursuing a prolific solo career. He is famous for songs such as "Layla", "Tears in Heaven" and "Wonderful Tonight". In 1995, Martin and Eric Clapton decided to work together for the first time. The 000-42EC was developed in response to Eric Clapton's wish to merge his 1939 000-42 with his vintage 000-28, which was highlighted during Clapton's MTV Unplugged concert and the joint release of this live CD, which won the Grammy for Best Album of 1993. So it's the favourite characteristics of Eric Clapton's two instruments that have been combined and optimised to create this limited series.
