FUNERARY MASK IN POLYCHROME WOOD Egyptian art, Late Period, 664-332 BC Mummiform coffin mask and breastplate depicting a man of red complexion, wearing a striped tripartite wig revealing his ears and a false beard. The torso is decorated in yellow with frieze motifs surmounting the kneeling goddess Nut, her wings outstretched as a sign of protection, and hieroglyphic inscriptions. Missing parts and fractures.
