MASSON LE GOLFT (Miss). Interview on Le Havre. Le Havre, Chez les libraires, 1781.
In-12 brown calf, smooth spine decorated, title page (period binding).
"Le Masson Le Golft (Marie), niece of the learned abbé Dicquemare, naturalist herself, member of several learned societies, born in Le Havre on 25 Oct. 1750, died in Rouen on 3 Jan. 1826. She assisted the famous naturalist from Le Havre in his scientific work, and was both his friend and pupil. After the death of Dicquemare, she
continued the great work on molluscs that he had begun, but which the immensity of the publication costs prevented her from bringing to light. On her death, Mlle Le Masson bequeathed her library to the city of Rouen,
which included the collection of drawings, engravings and copper plates that were to be used for the publication of Abbé Dicquemare's work. "Frère.
