Throughout its sixty-eight chapters, this rare and curious work deals with the different varieties of salad, ways of dressing them, their medicinal virtues, their use in Antiquity, fruit salads, etc. The title is decorated with the arms of the King of France.
The title is decorated with the Colantoni family coat of arms engraved on copper. It bears a handwritten bookplate which has been crossed out.
