Dedicated to Saint Anne, patron saint of the Bretons, it has for centuries brought together crowds of the faithful to pray, attend open-air mass and take part in the procession. Beyond its religious dimension, the pardon is also an event deeply rooted in Breton culture, combining spirituality, popular tradition and attachment to the land. It has inspired artists such as Eugène Boudin, Lucien Simon and Mathurin Janssaud.
