MATTA (Roberto). The New School. Paris, Sabatier-Satié, 1980. In-folio, leaves, publisher's black portfolio with flaps closed by 4 coloured strings. First edition of this suite of ten original etchings and aquatints by Matta in proofs justified and signed in pencil.
In addition to these ten copperplates engraved in 1944 at the New School for Social Research in New York (where only five trial proofs were printed), there is an unpublished eleventh copperplate, specially engraved and coloured by the artist to decorate the title page.
Unique edition of 80 copies on tinted Arches vellum (no. 35).
