HAIRMARKS OF EMPEROR NAPOLEON I AND EMPRESS JOSEPHINE Presented in their original folded paper, one marked "Cheveux de l'Emp" and the other "l'Imp". They are contained in a small late 19th-century portfolio covered with embossed and gilded strong cardboard, centred with a varnished miniature of Emperor Napoleon 1st on horseback. 14 x 9 cm A.B.E. Origin : - These relics are thought to have come from the family of Miss Eglée de Marcherie, one of Joséphine de Beauharnais' readers.
