Commemorative medal in 999.9/1000 gold, "Basler Tauben", Austria. Fine gold medal reproducing the famous Swiss "Basler Taube" stamp (Basle Dove, 1845), one of the world's first polychrome stamps. Issued by the Austrian State Mint (Österreichisches Hauptmünzamt, Vienna) in November 1964 as part of the series "Die goldene Briefmarke" (The golden postage stamp). Issued in 5000 copies. Numbered: 3153 and accompanied by its certificate of origin. Work by sculptor Heinz Karmüller. Year: 1964 Dimensions : 2.01 cm x 1.98 cm. Gross weight: 9.98 g. Gold: 999.9/1000.
