On the obverse is a portrait of the Marechal in profile, signed Cogne, while the reverse bears the stamp "Sevres 42", diameter 12cm, blue velvet and white silk case embellished with a gilded francisque, functional clasp. This type of medallion made by the Manufacture de Sevres was left to the discretion of the Marechal's cabinet, who only gave them to high personalities.
