A gold ring with a flat, narrow bezel engraved with an ankusha symbol, a stylised representation of an elephant goad associated with Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The symbol consists of a curving form intersected by a horizontal line with short perpendicular strokes at each end. The hoop is thin and tapers gently towards the back.
