MEDIEVAL SILVER RING WITH HERALDIC SYMBOLS Ca. AD 1200 - 1400. A silver ring with a broad hoop and large circular bezel engraved with an elaborate heraldic composition. The central shield displays a pair of crossed arrows. Above the escutcheon rises a helm and mantling, surmounted by a crest depicting a mythological beast with raised arms grasping a sword. A narrow line border encircles the bezel.
