AD 1200 A gold merchant’s seal ring with an elongated octagonal bezel engraved with the initials F and R above a barrel within a scrolling cartouche. A narrow raised rim is bordered by a fine beaded band. Broad stepped shoulders are decorated with short notches and paired transverse ribs, and the rounded hoop tapers towards the back with a plain exterior.
