Kornhaas (1857 - 1931) lived and worked in Italy 1880/81-1895. In 1895 Kornhaas became a teacher at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Karlsruhe, where he headed a ceramics department and modelling class, 1898-1922 as professor. He took part in numerous national and international exhibitions, specialising in lustre glazes.
