Meissen tea caddy with miner's decoration Rectangular body with rounded shoulder, short cylindrical neck and overlapping lid with sculpted flower pommel. Various depictions of the lives of Saxon miners on all sides. Both front sides with scenic depictions in a rocky, tree-lined landscape, a mining official in conversation with a lady and a miner and three working miners. The narrow sides with young miners at work. Small flower arrangements on the shoulder. Extremely fine polychrome painting, probably by Bonaventura Gottlieb Häuer (1710 - 1782). Surrounding gold lace border. Damaged lid; certificate enclosed. Gilder's mark. H. 14 cm.
