Paris, Crapelet, 1846. 2 volumes in-8, full red morocco, ribbed spine decorated with cold fillets, gilt lace inside, double gilt fillet on the edges, gilt edges (Duru 1850). First edition, published at the expense of the Société des bibliophiles françois. Its learned and erudite president, Baron Pichon, undertook to publish this work, which existed only in manuscript form. A curious and instructive work on the inner life of a Parisian bourgeois in the 14th century, with several chapters on gastronomy. There is an extensive table of contents at the end of the volume. Edition of 324 copies, this one of 24 on large Hollande imperial paper, intended for resident members of the Society. This one printed for Le Roux de Lincy, secretary of the École des Chartes, then passed to the library of Robert Hoe with his bookplate (1912, III, n°2227), Librairie Soète (1978, n°309), Jacques and Hélène Bon with their bookplate (2022, n°387).
