Mr. Domingos de Sousa Uva was the grandfather of Margarida Sousa Uva, the today's wife of the former President of the European Commission (from 2004 to 2014), Jose Manuel Durao Barroso. The vehicle was owned by the family. In 2010 the vehicle was purchased from a well-known lawyer from Lisbon. The following original parts were replaced: Front axle (completely), shock absorbers and gear. The engine was also refurbished. From the Coupé S 220 of the series W 180 II, which was offered in 1956, a total of 1,251 units were built.
