In-12, brown calf, cold roulette and small gilt fleuron at the corners, spine decorated with gilt and cold motifs, inner lace, marbled edges (Ducastin). Second edition of this anthology published in 1800. It is adorned with two free engravings, including a frontispiece and a second figure which can only be found in a small number of copies. It is a reworking of two earlier works: Les Tétons (1720) and Éloge des tétons (1746), extensively reworked by Mercier de Compiègne (1763-1800), author of licentious works and bookseller in Paris. A fine copy bound by Ducastin in the early 19th century. Slight rubbing, minor foxing.
