MESOPOTAMIAN LAPIS LAZULI AMULET - ORIGINAL LAMBERT REPORT
Ca. 3000 - 2500 BC. A lapis amulet pierced through the upper back. It depicts a quadruped with long snout, possibly a porcupine. Accompanied by a signed scholarly note by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert. Size: 36mm x 24mm; Weight: 10g. Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formerly with a Mayfair Art dealer S.A.; Ex. 1990s London collections, studied and catalogued by professor Lambert in the early 90s (with original note, signed by him). Previously in an old British collection formed since the 1960s.
