MESOPOTAMIAN STONE STATUETTE OF KING Ca. 2700 - 2500 BC. A stone statuette depicting a seated male figure identified as a king with a compact, block-like body and a prominent beard extending to the chest. The right arm is bent at the elbow with the hand raised to the chest, while the other rests against the body. The long, tiered garment falls to the ankles, and the figure is seated on a broad, throne-like structure extending along the back.
