Edged amber handle, consisting of two segments, with harpoon-shaped handle end and bronze button finial. Gilt chinoiserie decoration. Bastion-shaped bolster. Centre-pointed blade. Comes with an assorted, later lacquer scabbard in the "goût japonais" style with gold decoration.
L without scabbard 16.5 cm.
Partially repaired cracks in the amber as well as chipping. Blade heavily abraded. Traces of corrosion. Scabbard with crack.
