KNIFE WITH PARTIALLY ENAMELLED AGATE HANDLE French, 1st half of the 17th century. Octagonal agate handle with partially gilded and enamelled setting in the shape of flowers and blossoms. Enamelled, flower-shaped cap with bud pommel. Gilt and enamelled grip ferrule in the shape of petals. Moulded and engraved blade fuller merging into a pointed blade on the back. Engraved decoration at the base of the blade in the form of tendrils and scrolls with remnants of gilding. L 20 cm. Blade broken. To be restored. Losses to the enamelling. Agate handle slightly loose. Blade with traces of oxidation and partially worn.
