MICHEL AROUTCHEFF (BORN 1946) Tintin's brown motorbike. 1986, not distributed (prototype). 12 x 22 x 5 cm Pastille present and signed. Originally, this brown version was a prototype that was to be used as the side car that Tintin chases in "Tintin in America" on page 4 of the album, but unfortunately it never saw the light of day. Mr Aroutcheff therefore took it away to make a simple motorbike, but Moulinsart© wasn't too keen on tone-on-tone colours and so asked that the commercialised version be in sharper colours, which gave rise to the blue motorbike version."
