Michel FEYDEAU (1900-1961). MANUSCRIT autograph signed, Dora et Jean ou La femme aux trois noms, 1917 87 pages of an in-12 notebook, bound in red Roussie half-leather with corners, title labels on upper board and spine. Play written by Georges Feydeau's son at the age of 17. This early work by the future journalist is described as a "tragico-heroicomico-sentimental drama in 6 acts in verse" and signed "Alexandre Dumas cousin (à la mode de Bretagne) & Michel Feydeau", with dedications by the two (who are one and the same) "à Rostand, mon maître", "A Corneille, mon idole, et à la mémoire de A. Dumas père & fils, mes aïeux", and to the protagonists of the play, which features Michel Feydeau himself, his cousin Jean Hellmann (future director of the Grand Rex) and his friend Robert Calmann-Lévy (future publisher), as well as Hellmann's ex-lover Dora Mathi (alias Dora Misrahi or Dora Klotz), and other companions. The play was left unfinished and is interrupted at Act V, Scene 2.
