The Rock and its Prince were not far away and Paris Match proposed a photo shoot for 6 May. What started out as a nice scoop was to give rise to one of the great love stories of the century. And it transformed Monaco from a small principality into a glamorous kingdom. When the princess died accidentally in 1982 at the age of 52, the whole scenario turned tragic.
