(Misses, small chips and some restorations to the base) A "Flower bearers" centerpiece, c. 1870, polychrome enamelled majolica, decorated with two mermaids supporting a large shell of seaweed. HISTORY: This model, which is very rare in this format, was exhibited at several important international exhibitions at the end of the 19th century, notably in Vienna in 1873 and Philadelphia in 1876.
