The set is contained in a fibre-paper folder; publisher's grey cloth folder and slipcase, illustrator's name and publisher's signature in black on the spine. Illustrated with a coloured drypoint and aquatint on the parchment cover and 15 original coloured engravings. The last book by Iliazd, Le Courtesan grotesque was proposed to Miró in 1951, who accepted two years later. The extensive correspondence between the two men bears witness to the difficulties difficulties encountered by the painter over the 20 years or so during which the project was several times.
